Team Wellness Accelerator (180 day)

Service Description

We all have personal lifestyle habits. But what about our collective lifestyle habits as a team? A team member may have productive health and self-care habits, but like a healthy fish in dirty water, if the team has an unhealthy culture this can impact each person's health and wellbeing. Examples of an unhealthy team culture: Excessive time sitting (linked to heart disease) No taking breaks. Eating at your desk. Taking work home with you (during family time) Expecting each other to be constantly available. Long hours as a badge of honour. Donuts for birthdays. No team social opportunities to connect. Never getting outside during the day. Not respecting each other's boundaries for breaks. Contacting each other re work outside of working hours. Processed foods at team meetings/training. These factors by themselves may seem harmless, but when they become part of the team culture it creates an ecosystem of destructive health habits that influence heath, wellbeing, absence and performance. To help teams turn this around and create a positive culture around health and wellbeing we created the 'Team wellness Accelerator'. The Team Wellness Accelerator (delivered by a Health Coach of 15 years) helps teams to assess their culture across the 6 key wellness zones that influence overall health and wellbeing and make changes where necessary. This means: 1. Identifying the team habits having a negative impact - planning how to remove/manage them 2. Identifying the team habits having a positive impact - planning how to reinforce & even build on them 3. Identifying new ideas to introduce to further improve the team's wellbeing culture After an initial 3-hour face-to-face workshop attended by the line manager and whole team, an action group will be set up to carry out the plans the team creates, with the behavioural change support of the coach for 6 months following the workshop.
